Why don't we mail packages? Dropping your label order in the mail sends it out with no method of tracking the package. If it doesn't arrive at your place of business, and you call to check on delivery, we have no way of finding out where the package is or when it may be delivered......if ever. Together, we then have the difficulty of sorting out who is responsible for a package that hasn't arrived and may, or may not, be lost.
Northwest Tag & Label ships several hundred packages daily. The only workable shipping method is one that picks up at our printing facility, allows constant tracking of a package from our business to yours, and provides insurance against loss; as well as a definitive method of determining when a package is lost so a replacement shipment can be made. UPS is the cost effective way to ship small packages that meets the above criteria. Packages are electronically scanned at Northwest Tag & Label, then scanned at each stop throughout tge delivery path to you. That information is readily availlable via our Internet conection so we can tell you exactly where your package is, and approximately when it will be delivered.
With the tracking number and an Internet connection, you can even track the package yorself. Just ask us to email the UPS tracking number when the package ships.

CAN I PLACE MY ORDER ONLINE?
At
this time you cannot submit an order on our secure server.
However we have provided all our order forms in PDF format
for you to download, print and mail or fax to us. These forms
can be emailed as well.
You can send all the required information in the body of an
email to us however we do not recommend sending credit
card information via e-mail. Once your email is received
by us it is completely secure, but no email is completely
secure on the Internet and we cannot guarantee the safety
of any sensitive information before we receive it.

HOW
SHOULD I PAY FOR MY LABELS?
We
accept Checks in US Dollars, Money Orders, Visa, Mastercard,
American Express and Discover. All
first time orders must be paid in full before the order will
be placed in production. Subsequent orders can be placed using
UPS COD or credit card to avoid the COD fee. We strongly recommend phoning or faxing your credit
card information to us for your protection.

CAN I HAVE GARMENT SIZES
PRINTED ON MY CUSTOM LOGO LABELS?
Yes.
We need to make a separate print plate for each size.
You will be charged for the total quantity of labels plus
a copy change charge for each additional size. Doing this
will save you money compared to pricing each size as a separate
quantity.
Although
sizes can be printed on custom logo labels, we encourage
small quantity garment producers to consider other sizing
options due to the difficulties you may encounter maintaining
a proper inventory. Those other options would include size
tabs, size stickers or sizes printed on custom care and/or
content labels. Separate care labels can be purchased to go
with your custom logo label. This is a good plan for people
who use many different fabrics. Check our stock
item page for a wide variety of products available.

WHAT
IS A COPY CHANGE CHARGE?
We
use copy change charges to save you money when sizes are printed
on your labels. In order to print sizes on your labels, we
need to stop the press and change the plate for the next size
to print. When you have sizes printed on custom logo or care/content
labels, we price the total quantity of all sizes combined
per label plus a copy change charge for each size.
Example:
Let's say you have 1000 custom logo labels and need 250 of
each size: S, M, L and XL. We charge the 1000 label price
plus $10.00 for each copy change. The first size is included
in the press set up. Therefore you have three copy changes
or $30.00 added to your total.
If
the cost for 1000 is $71.65 your total for labels and copy
changes would be $101.65. (This example does not include plate/setup
costs.)
Let's price the labels separately now. 250
of each size would cost $37.50. This cost would be charged
four times to get 1000 labels bringing your total to $150.00.
If we priced your labels separately you would be charged an
extra $48.35 needlessly.
Add
to this, the savings on initial plate/setup charges
for the four garment sizes, and the cost savings is at least another $75.00 on the initial order.
Please Note:
One time Plate set-up charges are the cost to produce
the printing plate and only happen once for each size unless
you change your label. Copy changes happen every time you
order multiple sizes of a given label but they do save you
money.

DO
I NEED TO PAY A SET UP FEE FOR A REORDER?
No.
If you are ordering the same exact label again (including
repeat sizes on label), there is no need for an additional
plate set-up. If anything does change (i.e.: a size not previously
ordered) there will be a plate set-up charge for each additional
plate we have to produce.

If a proof is requested for orders less than 1000 total, a
nominal $3.00 fee will be added to the total order cost if ordering less than 1,000 quantities..
Proofs are intended for layout purposes only to ensure print
placement is correct as well as spelling and general design
approval.

DO
YOUR LABELS COME PRECUT OR ON A ROLL?
We
cut and stack all of our custom logo and care labels at no
extra cost unless you request them to be loose in bags or
left on a roll. However uncoated fabrics need to be sealed with
a hot knife or at least folded over and sewn to prevent unraveling.

YOU PROVIDE LABEL FOLDING OR SEWING?
No.
All our labels come flat nor can we provide sewing services
for labels or attaching services for hang tags. For a list

NEED HELP OPENING AND PRINTING ORDER FORM PDF FILES.
Most computers are already equipped with Adobe Acrobat Reader and can open
PDF files. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader
or Adobe Acrobat on your computer, you may
not need to download Acrobat Reader.
You can
check to see if you have the program installed by
clicking on one of the forms or catalogs to download. If the
page opens after it is downloaded, you already have the program
installed on your computer and do not need to download any
software. If your computer asks you "Which program do
you want to open this file with?" you will need to download
the program.
You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer
to be able to view and print any of the order forms or catalogs
from NWTag.com. Acrobat Reader is a free program that can
be downloaded from adobe.com by clicking the following link.

When
you get to the download page be sure to download the version
that meets your system requirements. Follow the instructions
and save the file in a familiar folder or on your desktop.
Once the file has been downloaded to your computer you will
need to double click the file to install it unless your computer
recognizes it as a program and begins installation automatically.
Once the program is installed on your computer,
simply click on the appropriate file on a NWTag.com download
page and the viewer will automatically open with the order
form or catalog opened.
(PDF files can be large files and may take several minutes
to download from our server. If using a dialup connection
you may want to download only the order forms that interest
you to shorten download time)
If the viewer does not open with the file you've selected
you may need to reinstall the program. Please check with www.adobe.com
for extensive help files for this product.
To print NWTag.com order forms select file/print and follow
the instructions to select the appropriate printer. Once
all
settings are satisfactory click OK. The file should print
to the specified printer. If the edges of the forms are cut
off, be sure to have the"fit to page" check box
selected.

of the product ordered or the city shipped to. We use UPS
as our standard shipper to keep your shipping costs down.

WOULD LIKE TO USE A LOGO OR TYPESTYLE YOU DON'T CARRY.
If you want to develop a logo or distinctive artwork,
you'll find Graphic Designers in the Yellow Pages of your
phone book, usually under that category. If you need a type
style that isn't on our selection sheet, we suggest you consult
a type setter in your area. We have a large selection of type
styles and stock artwork you can use to create a total label
design.
Please keep in mind that some type styles and logos found
on our samples and in our brochure were provided by our customers
as artwork, so we may not have access to, or know what that
type style is. Customers' designs are their property and we
can't use their artwork on your label.

YOU PROVIDE LOGO LAYOUT & DESIGN?
Yes.
With your direction we can develop your logo to be used on
many corporate products that NWTag.com and many other mediums
can use. We offer our services at a very reasonable cost compared
to many graphics firms. Feel free to look through our comprehensive

help files, typestyles & motifs to get your creative
juices flowing. With a little direction from you we can produce
a corporate image that will stand out in any arena.

CAN I FAX MY ARTWORK
TO YOU?
No.
Faxing your artwork will not provide us with the quality of
print needed to ensure your product prints correctly. Please

or e-mail your digital file for our art department to use.

WILL YOU KEEP MY ARTWORK
AND PLATE ON-FILE?
Yes.
We have files that date back well over 20 years and we will
never discard your old plates or artwork. We have an extensive
archival filing system that ensures your products can
be reproduced without further cost in set-up, no matter
how long ago you previously ordered.

CAN I PURCHASE A DIGITAL
VERSION OF MY ARTWORK CREATED FROM YOUR TYPESTYLES AND/OR
MOTIFS?
Yes.
For a nominal fee you can receive a 1200 dpi tiff, 96 dpi
.JPG and a hard copy laser print of your artwork. Let us know
and we'll ship it along with your finished products.

LABEL SOFTNESS
All
of our quality label materials have been developed to ensure
your printed message will help sell your product and inform
your customer about your company and the care of their purchase.
Label softness is a constant concern of ours, however, we
do need to maintain the ability to print your logo and information
clearly and professionally.
Our high
quality Woven Edge Satin & Taffeta Polyester is a non-coated
material which requires a small amount of sizing (starch)
added to the finish to achieve superior print and cut lines.
This sizing will wash away to a certain degree with hot water
and soap. If you are concerned about the stiffness of these
materials we suggest soaking the labels in hot soapy water
and agitating them for a short time before you attach them
to your product. In many cases this will take some of the
starch out of the finished labels.
Our quality
Nylon and Pearlized Polyester
are both coated materials and will maintain
the same feel regardless of how many times they are washed.
These are considered standard materials in the labeling
industry. In fact our Pearlized Polyester is the standard
product for infant clothing which obviously demands a soft,
pliable product.Top
WILL MY LABELS FRAY
OR UNRAVEL?
No.
Our uncoated fabrics are finished with a hot knife system
that ensures the label will stay intact through a label's
normal life span. Our coated fabrics are designed with the
same standard but without the need for a hot knife seal.

LABEL WASHABILITY
We
stand behind our quality printed fabric labels even though
they are subjected to nearly the harshest conditions of any
printed medium. Under normal circumstances the print will
fade slightly in time as will any printed medium that is washed
under demanding conditions. Usually the first few washings
will take the most pigment out of the print, however using
bleach or other chemicals may break down the print over a
number of applications.
If you rub your labels between your fingers the print may
migrate or smear due to the oils in your skin. This
is considered an extreme circumstance and we make no claim
that our labels should be used under such demanding conditions.

CAN I GARMENT DYE YOUR
LABELS?
If
your product is to be garment dyed after the labels are sewn
in, we recommend using our Woven Edge Taffeta Polyester with
black print. We recommend specifying your intent to
garment dye your product so we can provide you with the best
possible labels for your purpose.

DO YOU PROVIDE COLOR
MIXING OR PMS COLORS?
On
custom hang tags we can provide any color under the Pantone
Matching System as well as in full color. Unfortunately we
cannot provide PMS colors on fabric labels. We have 28 distinctive,
popular colors that can be printed on our various label materials.
We cannot mix colors or produce custom colors on labels.
